Eunsol and I are leaving for England and France on Tuesday. Today the ground staff at Heathrow announced their intention to go on strike on Monday and Tuesday. The only construction site in the world with its own airport and never-ending strikes.

.: So what’s the plan of attack? If the airport is on strike, will you need to delay your flight? Sorry to learn about this, I hope it gets resolved quickly.
So, now they’ve decided to bargain some more, and the strike threat is averted (until at least Aug 25 – by which time I’ll be home). I don’t plan on passing through Heathrow again until early December — and every the most recalcitrant union members should have resolved it by then.
